Over 175 episodes of the home improvement classic joins the free streaming platform's growing original and exclusive content library

Crackle Plus, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment (Nasdaq: CSSE) company and one of the largest operators of streaming advertising-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) networks, announced today the exclusive AVOD streaming release of seasons 13-21 of popular home renovation series, Today’s Homeowner. The series, available to stream now on Crackle, is hosted by general contractor Danny Lipford and co-hosted by his daughter, Chelsea Lipford Wolf.

As one of the only AVODs continually adding original and exclusive programming that uplifts, entertains and inspires audiences, Crackle adds Today’s Homeowner alongside original and exclusive titles that can only be found only on Crackle, including Crown Vic, On Point, ’85: The Greatest Team in Football History, Wonders of the Sea, Yelawolf: A Slumerican Life, and Going From Broke.

Unlike other home improvement series that focus on flipping homes, stunt remodels, and extravagant renovations out of financial reach of most DIYers, the mission of Today’s Homeowner is to deliver practical information that empowers the average American to tackle any improvement and maintenance issues that might come their way. From installing new baseboards and wrangling leaky toilets to advanced electrical rewiring and taking man-caves to the next level, Today’s Homeowner has simple, step-by-step instructions that most homeowners are looking for when making renovations.

“Home improvement is hotter than ever, and my team and I are thrilled to partner with Crackle and lead their expansion into the DIY content genre,” said host Danny Lipford. “In my experience, people crave good, solid, trustworthy information – and that’s exactly what Today’s Homeowner provides. We can’t wait to introduce Crackle’s audience to our realistic and fun approach to home improvement!”

“With so many folks out of their normal work routine and after the launch of our Homeschool Channel which aimed at helping parents of young children, Crackle continues to search for content that empowers our viewers to improve their daily lives,” said Philippe Guelton, President of Crackle Plus. “As many had the time in the last few months to look at the opportunity to tackle some much needed home remodeling projects, Today’s Homeowner is a timely addition to our ever-expanding original and exclusive programming.”

The series was acquired by Screen Media Ventures, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company and the supplier of exclusive and original content for Crackle Plus. Seth Needle, SVP of Worldwide Acquisitions at Screen Media Ventures, negotiated the deal on behalf of Crackle Plus.

Crackle is available on Amazon FireTV, RokuTV and devices, Apple TV, most Smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Vizio), Gaming Consoles (PS4 and XBoxOne), on iOS and Android mobile devices and on desktop at Crackle.com.
