The Action-Packed Police Drama Joins the Exclusive and Original Programming on the Free Streaming Service

Crackle Plus, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment (NASDAQ: CSSE) company and one of the largest operators of streaming advertising-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) networks, today announced the addition of another exclusive program found only on Crackle – the gritty police drama Crown Vic.

As one of the only AVODs continually adding original and exclusive programming, Crackle adds Crown Vic alongside original and exclusive titles that can only be watched on Crackle like On Point, Adult Life Skills, ’85: The Greatest Team in Football History, Clara, Wonders of the Sea, Yelawolf: A Slumerican Life, and Going From Broke.

The crime thriller stars Thomas Jane (“The Predator,” “The Expanse”) as a grizzled veteran and Luke Kleintank (“Midway,” “Man In the High Castle”) as his rookie partner. It also stars Gregg Bello (“mother!”), Bridget Moynahan (“John Wick”), Josh Hopkins (“Quantico”), David Krumholtz (“The Deuce”) and Scottie Thompson (“12 Monkeys”).

Crown Vic follows one explosive night in the life of a seasoned LAPD veteran (Jane) as he takes a young cop (Kleintank) out on his first patrol, showing him the brutal reality of life behind the wheel of a Crown Vic.

The intense police drama, written and directed by Joel Souza, was inspired by his fascination with the men and women who put themselves out on the front lines to protect and serve perfect strangers.

Produced by Anjul Nigam, Gregg Bello, Alec Baldwin and Maxx Tsai, Crown Vic had its red carpet gala premiere at The Tribeca Film Festival and was subsequently acquired by Screen Media Ventures, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company and the main supplier of exclusive and original content for Crackle Plus.

Nigam and Bello in a statement said, “After an extremely challenging production schedule that was 19 nights out of a 20-day shoot in Buffalo, New York, we were ecstatic by the honor of getting into Tribeca. Then, in releasing the movie, we were thrilled to have a partnership with Screen Media and they’ve been instrumental in the success of the Crown Vic story. We are excited and honored to now be on Crackle and can’t wait for their audience to experience the great ride that is Crown Vic.”

“Crown Vic is a great addition to our ever-expanding original and exclusive programming,” said Philippe Guelton, President of Crackle Plus. “Crown Vic is the type of dark, character-driven piece that resonates with our audience. From its first few days on Crackle, the film is off to an amazing start and is bound to be on our most watched list this month.”
